Ducky One 3 SF Mechanical Keyboard Review

Finally other colors than ‘banana’ and ‘ocean’

When it comes to mechanical keyboards, Ducky is amongst the brands most people would rank really high. Especially when it is all about the “out of box” experience. Recently things have changed though and many other great mechanical keyboard alternatives have entered the stage (Keychron for example).

Still, the Ducky One 3 SF Mechanical Keyboard launched a while back in somewhat weird color schemes, but now, finally, it can be had in classic white, black and even other special editions (like Aura, with transluscent everything).

I finally got enough time to spend with my new mechanical keyboard and want to share my experiences with it (from a german speaking/writing author’s perspective).

TLDR

PROS

• Practical layout
• No software needed
• RGB LED lighting
• Finally good availability
• PBT Doubleshot keycaps
• Finally 5-pin hot-swap

CONS

• Occasional problems on Mac
• Not wireless
• High price
