I just pulled the trigger on a Thinkpad T14s. Great machine, but yeah. Windows. If you can hold out a bit longer, Apple is just about to switch to their own processors, replacing Intel. Allegedly they’ll bring more power efficiency to the table AND a cheaper price. Even though I don’t trust promises like that when it comes to Apple, I’m still intrigued. I have to say, as much as I started disliking Apple’s hardware in the recent years, I still find their OS to be superior to Windows 10, even though it has made strides of improvement lately.

It’s a really hard decision. If you’d want to stick with Apple — wait. Allegedly the first “Apple Silicone” Macs should still debut this year. Even though the transitioning phase might be a bit rocky.

If you’re going the Windows Route with prebuilt systems, I feel that Lenovo offers a lot of bang for your buck. Also go with AMD processors. They blow Intel’s stuff cold out of the water at the moment. Better price, way better performance. That’s the best thing about the Windows world: choice.
