Like you I came from the apple magic keyboard to mechanical keyboards and fell deep into the rabbit hole. I really enjoy the Ducky keyboards and yes, also the Keychrons, which are really a great value for your money (love the K6 most).

Best switches in my opinion: Cherry MX Browns for allround-tasks, Blues for typists and coders that want to annoy people and if you're going custom, Kailh Box Whites are wonderfully clicky and Glorious Pandas are together with the Zealious V2s the best tactile switches I've ever had.

Just don't get obsessed... like I did. It's a HUGE money and time sink...
