Relatable rant and yes, freedom is on the top of the list for many of us, but lets not forget what freedom actually means.

Freedom means responsibility. Making your own decisions and living with the consequences, coming up with your own schedule, earning your own money, taking the financial security of your family into your own hands.

YES that is commendable and yes it is what we ultimately want. But, let me quote JBP here: "Don't chase happiness, chase responsibility." Exchange happiness with freedom, I guess it comes out the same.

Also, I don't think one can ever fully escape the Matrix, just bend it enough to make it comfortable. And that is fine. To fully escape the Matrix we'd be 100% fully self-sufficient. We are not. No one is.

And that is also fine. That's what family and community is for.

So, in the search for freedom we need to get our expectations right. Also our priorities. Again I quote JBP by saying: "Choose your sacrifice."

A decision for something is always a decision against something and vice versa.

I do like your approach though, I like the rough-around-the-edges style of your writing. The confusion. Ultimately the authenticity. And yes, not giving a fuck (at least for obstacles or hateful critique) is probably the way forward, even more so in today's day and age.

I enjoy a confused rambling rant 10x more than some perfect grammarly-checked AI-crap we get fed so much lately.

So, thank you for your writeup, I hope I could also contribute a bit!
