Sorry for your bad experience, but this is very biased and one sided. Here are alternative reasons why many men might prefer younger women:

Less emotional damage, less baggage through ex partners or kids, older men still may want to have a family so women of a certain age are out of the question biologically, less wrong expectations, generally more pleasing behavior, more drive, …

Men generally don’t care for the career of women. They want a kind person who can provide a peaceful home. Many women who have been through a lot alone turn bitter. On the other hand women do value the career of men, they hardly ever “date down”. Building a career to have money to build a secure home takes time - hence men are older when they are appealing to many women.

That said, of course there are always bad apples. Weak men who want control and also gold diggers on the other side of the spectrum. Keep an open mind and let’s treat each other right! Not every men is a secret predator.
