Trying Gaming Again After Years
I quit my gaming habit years ago. I sold a buff gaming PC and my PS4, didn’t get any of the new consoles, but I do still have a Nintendo Switch. It sees use for about 1–2 hours a week, mostly in bed, playing pixellated indie games, scratching that nostalgia itch to wind down after a long day. Most of the times though, I prefer to read instead. I don’t consider myself a gamer anymore, as I used to play all the modern, hip-at-the-time games for about 3 to 4 hours a day. Those days are long gone, luckily.
But…
… I did try out proper gaming again, seeing what’s new, by getting a XBOX Series S with Gamepass. Here is how it went, going back for “just one sip”.
The XBOX Series S is a steal
269 Euro on Amazon, Controller included, all digital 512 GB XBOX Series S. Nice. 10 Euro for one month of Gamepass with over 200 games, most system sellers like Forza Horizon, the latest Halo and other Blockbusters included. What’s not to like. Right now, 269 Euro for close-to-gaming-pc-performance and perfect 1080p gaming experience are a steal. High end consoles and gaming hardware are hard to get these days. Graphics cards alone for gaming PCs cost multiple times that. So the hurdle of getting back into gaming was very, very low. Economically it was easy to…
